I thought I would start doing some weekly general updates on the blog to diversify the content and also to share what I have been getting up to.
Some of the topics I will be covering will include my best healthy meals I’ve ate for the week, supplements, herbs or natural foods that I have purchased, my exercise routine and much more.
Twining Adaptogen Teas
I recently stumbled upon Twining’s new range of Adaptogen herb infused teas whilst I was doing my weekly shopping in Sainsburys supermarket.
The range consists of three powerful adaptogen infused, rooibos based and caffeine free blends (ashwagandha, tulsi and maca).
I decided I would pick up some of the Sweet Honey Chai Rooibos + Maca blend to try, as it’s been some time since I’ve had any of the Peruvian superfood Maca.
Past readers of our blog will likely already know that I’m a massive fan of adaptogen herbs such as Ashwagandha, Maca and Tulsi also known as Holy Basil.
The adaptogen herbs are excellent for increasing the bodies resistance to stress and balancing the hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal axis, amongst numerous other health benefits.

Nourished – Personalised Vegan Health Gummies
Another company that I have been eager to share with our readers and excited to try myself is Nourished.
Nourished are a United Kingdom based business which create innovative, personalised nutrition gummies that are truly unique to you.
Vegan, sugar-free, waste-free and always made to order, their custom blends and patented 3D food printing technology will change the way you think about nutrition.
Customers can choose 7 of 27 nourishments for their gummy stack, or choose from a range of already tailored life-stacks.
You can also take an easy quiz that builds a health gummy based on your preferences.
I decided I would create my own personalised vegan, sugar-free gummy and this is what the final formula ended up containing. (see pic below)
I packed the gummy with some of my favorite adaptogen herbs, energy and adrenal gland support including Ashwagandha Extract, Cordyceps, Ginseng, Maca, Coenzyme Q10, Vitamin C and Nourished Greens for extra nutrition.
Really looking forward to trying my Nourished gummy stack when it arrives next week and I will be doing an in-depth product review post also.

Eating Lots Of Fruit!
Fruit is always an important component to my healthy diet, however I have been making an increased effort to try eat more recently, especially with many fruits now being in season here locally.
I have been eating lots of delicious and ripe berries, especially the Scottish Blackberries that have been available.
Black, purple and dark colour fruits are some of my favorites and are great sources of heart-healthy phyto-chemicals such as anthocyanins and polyphenols.
Another of my favorite fruits, especially for supporting cardiovascular health is Pomegranate and I try to include liberal amounts in my diet regularly.
I have also been trying to include more Watermelon in my diet, in order to obtain more lycopene and l-citrulline for endothelial function.
I must mention that I have been extremely impressed with the quality and freshness of produce recently in Tesco supermarket. Especially the fruit.
