Evidence-Based Health Review
I am always on the lookout for reviewing healthy plant-based snacks and came across Deliciously Ella’s Peanut Butter Oat Bars this weekend in Sainsbury’s supermarket.
I have reviewed some of Deliciously Ella’s plant-based snacks before here in the past at Evidence-Based Health such as her very tasty Salted Almond Caramel Cups, which were amazing and very decadent.
As a huge lover of peanut butter I was really looking forward to reviewing this one.
Taste & Flavour:
The Peanut Butter Oat Bar as you can probably guess from the name is definitely one for the Peanut Butter lovers out there.
One of my favorite things about the Peanut Butter Oat Bars is the nice gooey almost caramel texture, which is almost like a flapjack due to the oats.
The chunks of roasted peanuts throughout the bar add a bit of crunch to the bar also.
A really nice sweet Peanut Butter taste overall, very rich and nutty.
Nutrition & Ingredients:
One of the things I really love the most about Deliciously Ella’s snacks is that I can always count on them to be based around 100% plant-based vegan friendly ingredients.
I believe the vast majority of Deliciously Ella’s snacks are also gluten free.
I like how her snacks are generally based around healthy plant-based staples such as oats, nuts, dates etc, all great nutrient rich plant-foods.
The Peanut Butter Oat Bars are a natural source of dietary fiber providing 2.5g per bar.
Which is a pretty decent boost of fiber, mostly derived from the oats and peanuts. Great for supporting gastrointestinal health.
The Peanut Butter Oat Bars also provide 5.1g of protein per bar, which is decent for a plant-based snack.
Overall I really enjoyed the Peanut Butter Oat Bars from Deliciously Ella.
They made for a very tasty, filling flapjack style bar.
At £2.00 for three 50g bars, they are one of the better priced plant-based vegan snacks on the market currently.
If you are a fan of Peanut Butter flavours then you will likely enjoy this one, very rich, gooey Peanut Butter flavour.
Plus the Peanut Butter Oat bars are based around healthy, plant-based and vegan-friendly ingredients.
£2.00 per 3 bars
Gluten free oats (41%), brown rice syrup, roasted peanuts (15%), coconut oil, coconut sugar, date syrup, roasted peanut butter (4%), sunflower oil, salt.
made in a facility that handles nuts and peanuts.
