Evidence-Based Health Review
I have been huge fan of Oshee’s carbonated sports drinks for many years now and recently stumbled upon their Vitamin Water with Magnesium + B6 at the larger Morrisons supermarket here.
I had just finished a fairly intense workout, so it was perfect timing to pick up a bottle and review it on our website here at Evidence-Based Health.
The Oshee Vitamin Water comes in a lemon-orange flavour and is very tasty, not too strong in lemon taste, but enough to flavour the water.
The Oshee Vitamin Water is great chilled served with some ice, very hydrating and refreshing, not to mention a great boost of important nutrients at the same time.
One of the main reasons I purchased the Oshee Vitamin Water was that I noticed it contained a generous boost of the mineral Magnesium at 50% of the RDI/DV.
As an individual with ME/CFS I have had many issues with magnesium deficiency over the years, so I am always on the lookout for health drinks and foods which are enriched with added magnesium.
Replenishing magnesium especially after working out intensely can be life saving and prevent the likes of sudden cardiac death, of which magnesium has been shown to play a role.
The Oshee Vitamin Water also contains a good boost of Vitamin B6(Pyridoxine) providing 56% of the RDI/DV.
I have genetic issues which involve Vitamin B6, so an additional boost of B6 is once again very welcome and the fact its balanced with many other B-Complex vitamins from Niacin to B12 is also great.
Finally the Oshee Water contains Biotin also called vitamin B₇, which is involved in a wide range of metabolic processes in the body.
Each bottle provides around 56% of the RDI/DV for Biotin. According to an Organic Acids test which I had done several years ago, it indicated I had a mild Biotin deficiency despite eating lots of Biotin rich foods.
So an additional generous boost of Biotin all in the same vitamin water as many other important nutrients that I require an extra boost of such as Magnesium and Vitamin B6 is very handy.
Including price as a factor in the review for this product as the Oshee drinks are in my opinion some of the best priced health/sports products on the market.
The Oshee Vitamin Water – Magnesium + B6 cost only £0.80 pence for a bottle, which you really can’t argue with, especially with the good boost of vital nutrients it contains.
Significantly cheaper than other competitor brands of vitamin waters and sports drinks that often don’t even contain the likes of magnesium.
Overall I am a big fan of Oshee’s drinks and feel they are enriched with some key important nutrients for health and fitness such as magnesium and are also some of the cheapest health products here in the United Kingdom.
£0.80p per bottle
